Gold

I was listening to a song by Britt Nicole and I was thinking how often people think that they are worthless. It is quite sad to think about it but it is true. People put others down and it really affects us. So if you have not listened to the song called “Gold”, I would recommend to you, your kids, your friends to listen to it. Here are the lyrics:

You were walking on the moon, now you’re feeling low
What they said wasn’t true, you’re beautiful
Sticks and stones break your bones, I know what you’re feeling
Words like those won’t steal your glow, you’re one in a million

This, this is for all the girls, boys all over the world
Whatever you’ve been told, you’re worth more than gold
So hold your head up high, it’s your time to shine
From the inside out it shows, you’re worth more than gold
(Gold gold, you’re gold)
You’re worth more than gold
(Gold gold, you’re gold)

Well everybody keeps score, afraid you’re gonna lose
Just ignore they don’t know the real you
All the rain in the sky can’t put out your fire
Of all the stars out tonight, you shine brighter

This, this is for all the girls, boys all over the world
Whatever you’ve been told, you’re worth more than gold
So hold your head up high, it’s your time to shine
From the inside out it shows, you’re worth more than gold
(Gold gold, you’re gold)
You’re worth more than gold
(Gold gold, you’re gold)

So don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not loved
And don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not enough
Yeah there are days that we all feel like we’re messed up
But the truth is that we’re all diamonds in the rough
So don’t be ashamed to wear your crown
You’re a king you’re a queen inside and out
You glow like the moon, you shine like the stars
This is for you, wherever you are

This, this is for all the girls, boys all over the world
Whatever you’ve been told, you’re worth more than gold
(So hold your head) So hold your head up high,
It’s your time to shine
From the inside out it shows, you’re worth more than gold
(gold gold, you’re gold)
You’re worth more than gold
(gold gold you’re gold)

So don’t be ashamed to wear your crown
You’re a king you’re a queen inside and out

Personal Rain Cloud

We all feel like there is always a storm overhead or a storm coming but that is when we look to God and pray, for we should always depend on God and not ourselves.

Source of Inspiration

rain cloud corm

There is a cloud of
rain above her head;
all day long it pours
on her while the sun
shines on everyone else.
She has only to step away
from this cloud to be dry
and warmed by the sun, yet
she lingers beneath the
cloud, unable to see,
unwilling to change, a
prisoner of her own making.

Fear of Being Rejected

Many people are afraid of being rejected. In fact, today, in high school, it is all about “fitting in”. Society today makes us think that we have to be thin in order to be perfect, or to smoke, or drink, or do drugs in order to be “cool”. We all know or should know that this is wrong. We should be content with ourselves and love ourselves because we were made in the image of God. But why do we do it anyways? We do it because as humans, we long for approval, and because the majority approves it, and we also want to be accepted, we follow everyone else. We continuously deceive ourselves though into thinking that we will eventually be satisfied, but we never will and we will continuously move away from God. Because of the fact that we were made in the image of God, when we say that we are ugly or dumb or not good enough, it is like saying to God that he is ugly or dumb or not good enough, and we all know that it is definitely not true of God. So do not listen to society but listen to yourself and love yourself for who you are. Now we do not want to go to the extreme of this either, and also do not forget God’s greatest commandments which is to love God and love your neighbor as yourself.

“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe” (Proverbs 29:25).
“Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared” (Proverbs 3:25).
“Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven” (Luke 6:22-23).

An Old Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the Sun shine warm upon your face
And the rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand
And until we meet again
May you live well in the heart of your home
Until we meet again.

God’s Creation

God's Creation

Look at what God has created! Isn’t it beautiful? But do you also see the trash? God has created beautiful things so that we may enjoy them. So next time you see some trash at a park, pick it up and throw it away in the trash can or recycling bin so that we may give others the chance to see it’s beauty.

Seven Reminders

I thought that this was amazing and think that this person is very wise. I hope you agree. I recommend that you read it.

Sentiments from the Heart

As I reflect about life, I can’t help but to feel grateful to God for giving me the right people who helped and guided me to become who I am today. I just want to share some reminders to the younger readers of this blog:

1. CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS

As a child, my parents used to tell me that I should choose my friends wisely. There is truth in the saying “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.” Your friends could lead you in the right path at the same time, wrong friends could lead you astray.

2. LOVE AND RESPECT YOUR PARENTS

Our parents are our steward in this world. We need to love and respect them for the unconditional love that they are giving us. Honor them.

3. DON’T TRY TO GROW OLD SO FAST

I believe that it is important for…

Amazing Grace

Who has heard of Chris Tomlin’s song Amazing Grace? If you have not heard of it then I would suggest listening to it. It goes like this:

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I’m found
Was blind, but now I see
‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

[2x]
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

Now as I was listening to this music, it reminded me of Ephesians 2:8-9 which says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works so that one can boast.” God has saved us by his amazing grace! It is not by how good we are. If we even tried to do enough good deeds it would not work if you matched it up to perfection. You have to accept Christ into your life in order to be saved and His amazing and saving grace will come and rescue you from the fires of hell. You cannot do it alone, so accept Christ and bring him into your life instead of pushing him away. He loves you with all of his heart, no matter what! Christ was persecuted and put to death by us yet he said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”. Even in his dying moments, when we hated him, he loved us and gave us life so that we could live with him. We would probably think of the pain of dying and think that it was too difficult. So if someone came up to you asking for help, please help them. If you see someone on the street who needs help, but they do not know it, try to help them. It is better to try and be pushed away than be careless and selfish.

Troubles and Worries

Many of us have troubles and worries. In fact, we have troubles and worries almost all the time. Our troubles and worries may vary from worrying if people will like us or not to wanting to kill yourself or runaway because of some sort of problem. Luke 6:21 says “Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.” If ever you are in a troubling time then this is a good verse to remember.

Why should we respect others?

RESPECT. You all might know this word. It might have even been drilled into your head ever since you were born. But to the question: Why should we respect others? Well, if you look up Matthew 7:12 it basically says that you should treat others how you would want them to treat you, and I bet that you would not want others to say “Whatever! Who cares about you anyways? This is not even your generation anymore!” In fact, it would be pretty hurtful, don’t you think? You would want people to treat you with respect. So if you want to be treated with respect, then treat others with respect.

What kind of people do you “hang out” with?

Do you have friends that do bad things? Do they do things that you know are wrong? Do they ask you to do the same things? Proverbs 27:17 says “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Do your friends sharpen your walk with Christ, or do they lead you away from him? That does not mean that you should only have Christian friends. My point is that you need to stay on track. I do hope that you understand what I mean.
